Project Overview
The Sheyang Visitor Center is a 9,200 m² cultural-tourism facility designed as the principal gateway to the wetlands of Sheyang Island in Jiangsu, China. A sweeping canopy, stepped public landscape, and looped waterfront platform create a gradual transition between the arrival plaza, cultural spaces, and surrounding lake.
Architecture and Landscape Strategy
The canopy connects two programmatic volumes containing cultural and visitor-oriented spaces. Positioned between the arrival plaza and an artificial lake to the west, the building gradually frames and reveals views of the surrounding landscape.
