ISAAC LANDEROS

Isaac Landeros.jpg

Isaac Landeros is a Mexican architect, urban designer, and researcher with over a decade of international experience. His work focuses on public space design, cultural identity, and urban transformation, integrating architecture, landscape design, and digital technologies.

With a multidisciplinary background in urban planning, landscape architecture, and product design, Landeros approaches projects with a holistic and adaptive perspective. He believes that great design fosters human connection, shaping spaces that are not only functional and inclusive but also culturally and emotionally engaging.

Since 2013, he has worked extensively in China, contributing to urban and rural tourism planning, architecture, and public space development. His time in Beijing deepened his understanding of rapid urban development, public space dynamics, and the intersection of culture and urban imagery.

Currently based in Barcelona, Landeros is pursuing a PhD in Urbanism at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, researching the impact of emerging digital technologies on the production of public space. His work explores critical cartography and counter-mapping as tools for analyzing socio-spatial dynamics and urban interactions.

Beyond his professional and academic work, Landeros is an active curator and cultural promoter, collaborating with institutions such as the Embassy of Mexico in China and major design events such as Beijing Design Week and Suzhou Design Week. Most notably, he curated Mexico City's participation as a guest city at Beijing Design Week 2019, showcasing Mexican design and architecture on a global stage.

Committed to cross-cultural exchange, urban innovation, and public space research, Landeros continues to engage in design collaborations, research initiatives, and curatorial projects that redefine how people experience and interact with urban environments.
